Why I HATE the NIKON 70-200 2.8 FL (1 Year Review) This is a one year later review of the Nikon 70-200 2.8e FL Lens. So, i’ve had this lens for a year and I still dislike the switch of the zoom and the focus ring.

The TC17E-II is sharper than either the TC20E-II or III. It also will acquire and track focus better for moving objects. As far as IQ is concerned, this is not what I have found from my 70-200 f2.8 VRII, the 1.7x TCII and 2x TCIII are line ball with a possible slight edge to the 2x TCIII.
Weighing in at 52.4 oz, the Nikon-mount SP 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 is nothing to scoff at. It’s slightly heavier than the NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL, with the Canon-mount version coming in at half an ounce more. You will definitely feel the weight after a 10-hour wedding (specifically if you are used to shooting a bag-full of primes).
