If that still doesn't help then go to your redists folder in your Batman Arkham City GOTY folder and run all the .exes in there again. If that doesn't help do a clean install of drivers - GPU especially but any other releated asset like a soundcard etc.

I just played Arkham Asylum and wanted to move to Arkham City. Asylum worked flawlessly and I even got 50-60 fps while playing it, but I can't seem to make City work. The game loads up, I start a new game, I can see the first cutscene when Catwoman shows up, I can see the little symbol that shows "saving" and that's it, the games freezes and then crashes. I already tried all resolutions and – Almost all Ridler challenges passed (Only ones relating to achievements and a few extra batman ones) – Perfect Knight Day 2 (or just 100% game completion) I cant find anything like this online so I put the hours in to get the achievements myself. 36hPesa.
